This is an easy and cheap fix I have a 2005 16 TDCi c-max I removed the plastic door cover this then gives you access to the wiring for the boot lock. Locate small connector it's just behind the boot lock itself. It is just a simple connection just two wires which clip together with a black plastic push connector.
