just open cod 4 multiplayer .. then go to settings . then click on multiplayer settings . and enable punkbuster .. you have to do that everytime when you open cod 4 .to play online and it will show servers . it worked for me !
OH NO, I can only download 25% of the COD4PBfiles and then it just stop downloading. I tried several times but it still failed. Maybe I have to search something about COD4 PB files and try wo download from somewhere else. I find some files and copy them into /steamapps/common/call of duty 4/PB and it works.well that is weird as the game is not punkbuster but rather servers themselves. is it when you are trying to join a server? if so then under options in game at main menu click this. then click multiplayer options, then should be on right side an option that says enable punkbuster click that if it says no so it says yes.true. I never even felt the need to back up my mpdata file before uninstalling CoD4. at each reinstall, I just purposely started from scratch, because progressing and unlocking stuff in CoD4 doesn't really take a long time, unlike newer CoDs where grinding potential is huge. #11. ๋joHanz ๋ May 13, 2021 @ 5:09am.
thank u guys for replying,but before i make a dedicated server look whats happen when i wanted to make a normal server like any server from cod4,but before i started the game i have put dedicated on "LAN" not "NO" or "internet" i know should put it on "NO" but look on the photo below and see what happened when i start the game with dedicated on "LAN",haw can i fix it
